The World of Treelings is hard at work preparing for its annual firefly festival. Gorgeous, luminous swarms of fireflies may only rise from the highest plateaus in the city during the upcoming summer solstice. There are 6 different guilds in the city who are committed to building their own tree platform, in each district, as high as possible. As boss of your own district, each round you make the choice of which guild you want to support in your part of town. Of course, this is not completely disinterested. After all, on the day of the festival, you want to attract the largest possible audience to your part of town and release as many brightly twinkling fireflies as possible.

In the world of Treelings, construction is in full swing in preparation for the annual firefly festival! Beautiful, glowing swarms of fireflies may only be released from the highest platforms in town during the upcoming summer solstice. Six different guilds live in the city and they will do everything in their power to build the highest possible tree in each district. As head of your district, you decide each round which guild you want to support in your part of town to attract spectators to your show on festival day and send as many brightly glowing fireflies into freedom as possible.
In game terms, the guilds are represented by a deck of 108 cards, with each of the six guilds appearing 18 times. To prepare for the game, deal three cards face up to each player and group these cards into columns by color. Place five cards face down to form the market. Place the firefly festival card, which ends the game, twenty cards from the bottom of the pile.
During a turn, a player takes all cards of one color from the market or one card of each color that appears in the market only once; he/she then adds these cards to his/her collection. If you already have cards of that color, place the new cards upright in a column so that everyone can see how many cards you have; if you do not have this color, place cards of the new color to the left or right of your current columns. Then you replenish the market. When the firefly festival card is revealed, the game ends after each player has taken the same number of cards.
To score points, look at each column of cards in your collection and compare the number of cards in that column to the number of cards in the columns to its left and right. (For columns on the outer edge of your collection, compare their height to the height of your neighbor's closest column and the adjacent column in your collection.) For each column, if it is at least as high as every column next to it, you score points equal to the number of cards in that column. The player with the most points wins!
